Nepal Is Ready, We Are Ready

With open hearts, we welcome the world. Shops open at eight, the markets are trading, and hosts across Kathmandu and Lalitpur have rooms made up and waiting.

What we actually do

Kathmandu Living manages serviced apartments and rooms across the valley — Jhamsikhel, Bhaisepati, Maharajgunj, Thamel and the neighbourhoods around them. Not a hotel chain. Individual homes, each with an owner behind it, let by the night, the week or the month.

That means:

  • A whole flat, or a private room in a shared one. Long-stay guests often take a room in a shared apartment, with their own lockable room and a shared kitchen and bathrooms. Couples and families take the whole place.
  • A real kitchen. Which matters more than anyone expects on a long trip, and a great deal on a budget.
  • Wi-Fi, power backup and water that works. Load-shedding and water supply are facts of life here; every listing says plainly what it has.
  • Someone who answers the phone. A local number, a person at the other end, and a key handed over by somebody who lives nearby.

Who it suits

Trekkers bracketing a walk. Researchers and NGO staff on a three-month posting. Families visiting relatives who want their own space. Remote workers who need a desk and a connection that holds up on a call. People who would simply rather stay in a neighbourhood than a hotel district.

Booking

Browse the listings, check the dates, and get in touch. Every place shows its nightly, weekly and monthly rate up front — longer stays cost less per night, and the price you see is what you pay.

We are ready when you are.
